Quick question, I've read beewax could be somewhat acidic and some suggest Microcrystalline wax was instead. What about soy wax?

Found this anvil in a shed at my father's house and I was curious to know more about it. My father wasn't sure if it was my grandfather's or from a blacksmith down the road. I've been told it is a colonial style anvil but there are no markings on it so I dont have much to go on. The weight is 120 pounds and it looks like a plate might have been added to the top.
