Lou Lou

Recently acquired an 1848 William Foster anvil. The name is backward on the anvil (Foster William). There is a crown above the name and a capital C under the date. Tried looking it up the name William Foster, but haven’t really found to much information. Any information on the anvil would be greatly appreciated. thank you
