Hi all, just like the OP, first post and first anvil, have been looking for a decent sized one for a while and this one found me,hah.Well my best mate told me the his step father was selling some items from his shed that he had no use for and amongst it was a big anvil that was his grandfathers. To cut a long story short after getting pictures of it a price was agreed upon and I only recently finished making the metal stand for it. It is an early John Brooks 416 pound wrought iron, not real sure about date but I know is old, maybe someone on here might know more about it, regards Shannon.
