would that be possible with it being so small

I found a small anvil about 12 years ago when i was digging up potatoes in a feild in the uk, I have got it out of the attic again and am just curious, i think it is made of stone, but could also have some metals in it. it is only small about 6 to seven inches long and about 5 to 6 inches in height. Can anyone shed any light on it please
