First of all hello my name is Adam i currently know very little about smithing but it's something that has always interested me I joined the site two minutes ago And am in need of advice as I don't want to lose out on a good deal and on the other hand I don't want to buy boat anchor either all the research I have done has been inconclusive in my eyes so I'll ask you all I am looking to potentially buy A fisher anvil I have only seen pictures and it looks to me that there is a weld in the waist area just wondering if this was a manufacturing practice at some point or if I'm just seeing things and this is just something else any and all advice will be much appreciated
