I just made my first set of flat nib tongs out of rebar. I basically use them for making tools. They where given to me. Sine they won't make good knives, they'll make starting tools as I learn the craft.

I'm new to blacksmithing. I've only been doing it for about 6 months. Why would I not want to use rebar?
