    Thanks Jim. That's the info I was looking for. Will it take a beating if i forge with it? I've been using a piece of rail right now, and I was thinking of using this if I won't destroy it...

    Bought this anvil off my dad, he bought it for resale, but I scooped it up because I thought it was an interesting piece. It's 5.5ft long, and about 10" at the flat surface with a dovetail kind of groove in the bottom. Anyone have any details on it? Thanks.
