I'm currently a student in a blasksmithing program founded by Francis, and I spend allot of time looking at his work. I have to say that your piece does a great job of replicating his style. My only critique is that Whitaker's work was inspired predominantly by German Gothic iron-work. As a result, it's very uncommon to see round-stock in his pieces (as you used for your hooks), he more commonly used square or flat-stock (as you used for the base). That being said, it really is a beautiful and impressive piece.
