It's a future hopeful destination. I'd really like to get up there for the Iditarod. It wasn't anything tragic, thanks. My feeble mind is easily led astray, and I let myself get caught up . Now it's time to put more effort into my hobbies. Blacksmithing, whitesmithing, woodworking, stationary engines, tractors. The list is long, boring to everyone except the people on my forums

At the railway museum where I volunteer, kids can volunteer with a parents permission, and they take the safety course to work in the yard. There is a minimum age that they can operate a locomotive. If they get a parents permission to also work in the blacksmith shop, they can, but either I, or the other volunteer in the shop has the final word. As long as they listen, show some interest, and responsibility, all is well. If they don't show us all of the above, out they go

notownkid, do you get to the CAMA show often? I've been a member for a while, so I try to get to both shows every year if I can. I agree, it's a great way to spend a day

          My limited experience has all been with museums. It's time to start getting busy again. I don't learn anything when I'm not trying anything. If there's something old, whether it's American history, agricultural, industrial, or mechanical, I'm wanting to know more about it
