  1. I used to own 2 pesh Kabz, both were T backed and one had a reinforced tip to pierce mail armor that was favored at the time of manufacture. They are very nice knives, one on my list to make eventually (many years down the road mind you!) when I get more skill.

  2. Welcome to the forums! There are links to sections called Getting Started and Lessons in Metalwork on the Frontpage. You can also find links to Blueprints at the top of the same page. All of them have a lot of VERY useful information. I'm still going over them myself almost daily.

  3. Akula-Hunter...do I know you? I'm in Oak Harbor when I am on land. Retired out of NOPF. Now riding on the Vicky.

Peddinghaus makes a 44LB anvil for about $400:

Not too sure how big an anvil you were looking for. All good hobbies need to be expensive and time consuming :D

  4. I am new to these forums, found my way here from a link at another forum. I am hoping to find an instructor in Western Wa. Mostly I am interested in knife/sword making. But I haven't been anywhere near a forge since High school (9th Grade) metal shop and would need some refresher training.

I am currently at sea and won't be on dry land until next year sometime. :D
