shoe leather patch on salvaged bellows from museum stock

I was stripping a second bellows for repair so as to replace the burned one. On the last layer of muck, I found the throat had been patched at one time with the leather from a womans shoe. -
Here's a close of up the damage inside. -
An ember was sucked into the bellows and smoldered for several hours before being found. -
Ouch! -
And again, same stand and mando but a better view of how it hold the instrument. -
Now a shot with my mando, to give you an idea of how it works. -
I've not drilled it for mounting yet so I held it up to see what it will look like on the wall. -
