Just signed up today as I'm looking for a blacksmith/forge in my area and I thought this would be a good place to start. I presently live in Somerset, England. I'm going to be here for the near furture, so I was looking for a forge where I could take courses in blacksmithing. Bladesmithing to be accurate. I've been a collector for years and have my own armoury. I've repaired and customised knifes/swords in the past, but have never made any from scratch. I have a few books on the subject and kinda know the theory behind it, but I've never had the opportunity or room to have a go! So If any of you out there live in the Somerset area of the U.K, please get in touch. I've done minor blacksmithing before, weather vaines, archways, gates and the like. So I'm not a complete novice.
