Do you have to use just charcoal in that forge or could you use regular coal?

I'm pretty new to blacksmithing so as I read what people have posted on the forums I see words that I don't know and have never heard before. I was wondering if there was a place on the website or a different one that had a blacksmithing dictionary with all those words in it so i could find out what they all mean. Thanks:)

Thanks, my grandpa showed me how to do the handle.

I just started to learn how to blacksmith a couple days ago from my grandpa, so this is one of the first things I've made so far. I think it looks ok for my first one. Handle's made of walnut and the blades made from a rusty piece of steel I found in the woods behind the shop.
