  1. Naw its all compacted in the sleeper compartment, to be more "areodynamic"
  2. I drive a 2011 kenworth T660, it has a sleeper on it, as far as taking propane its a no go period, huge safety issue.
  3. Measure twice cut once my dear old dad always told me you can always cut/ shave off metal and its a right pain in the butt to add it back. also its best to not need it and have it, rather than to not have it and need it better to keep the (scrap/material pile) for future projects rather than sell it.
  4. Just wondering when yall got the time to smith, and if you'd recomend going local or owner operator. As for my self I'm 21, company driver with Werner, no bills besides a student loan, and for now ive stashed my belongings at my parents place. I currently drive all 48 states, at 3-4 weeks at a time. Cant find much time to do more than cold worked quarters into rings, and some gav steel gauntlets. at home I've got 125lb anvil, while on the road the tools I've got are 12oz ballpien, and a 4lb short handled sledge (that i use as an anvil for the coin work)
  5. Tubeless tires filled up to 110 psi, i bent the rim bad enough to cause the tire to deflate, as for the tractor rims they're made of alum.
  6. Reason why i asked was that i mannaged to strike a curb while coming around it, with my 53 ft trailer with 44700 in the box, and then bending the rim so that it had bent up to the point of a fist sized "dent" and the repair guys used a 10lb sledge to beat it back into a shape, just wondering if that rim would be legal to go up into British columbia north of the us border?
  7. Does hammering on cold steel of any alloy weaken the metal? like hammering out a steel rim back into shape?
