This piece was only worked from the front and no metal removed. I believe this is considered chasing. There is another image I posted that Ernie actually showed how the layered look was created. -
I had to go back to my shop after the conference and make some of these punches and try it myself. -
I hadn't thought of that, but it would look awesome.
