  1. Actually the vise was outside. The anvil was inside. I don't think he is going to sell it. Quick tip, this machine shop is also a rigging company. They are often hired to remove old or unwanted heavy items which the keep around or sell. This place has so many old Bridgeport mills in storage it makes me sick. Places like this may be worth a look.
  2. I found this anvil in a friends machine shop. It has 100 marked on the foot, Also found this vise in the dirt behind an old shed. Only markings are the numbers 182 on the frame and 4 1/2 on the handle. It's a slide style, handle in the vertical position the jaws slide to the work. Left or right and the jaws tighten. Handle does not spin. Thanks -Eric
  3. Sorry guys I have been away for a few days thanks for the help. I am going with a Ellis style burner. I will be using the Pid with a high and low settings to control my temperature within a give range.
  4. Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and I apologize if this question has been asked but I couldn't find this particular thread. I am building a forge for knife making and pattern wielding. Forge size is 14x6 including insulation and coatings. My question is wether I should go with a blown burner or a 1" Hybrid burner. Can you do both? I will be adding a Pid control as well. Thanks for any help you can give. -Eric
