Good afternoon. I am just starting out on this adventure and have a question. As I am still saving up my pennies for a real anvil, I am in the process of improvising something. I have 14 - 6" x 8" x 1/2" thick plates that I was going to stack and weld together. My plan was to heat this mass and attempt to forge weld it together, however, with nothing to heat a mass of this size I am at a loss. Anyone have any ideas? Again, I'm just starting out and learning as I can, and just want something to hamer on.
