  1. Thanks Phil. So this was a modification made after the original forge. That explains why i can't find it.
  2. Hello, I recently retired from my day job and started making some copper garden items. After a few weeks of using my trailer hitch as an anvil, I decided it was time to get a real one. I purchased this one at a local farm auction. In searching this and other sites I see it is a Queens Dudley and have been told it is from England between 1830 and 1910. In all the pictures I've seen though, none have the extra hole on the table. It is 3/4 inches and the area around it is 2 1/2 inches. Was this for a machinist or gunsmith? According to my bathroom scales it weights about 130 lbs. I can make out the 1 and 5 but not the middle number for the calculation. It is 25" long, 41/2 inches wide and 11 1/4 tall. I've attached some pictures. The last picture has a tool I picked up at a flea market and is 3/4'' and fits nicely. Any information would be great. Thanks. Kent.
