CALL FOR ARTISTS!
Seeking fine artists and artisans for the International Blacksmiths Day Festival at Grayhaven Winery, Gum Spring, VA May 24! Our focus is on metals, of course, but all media are welcome! Juried; deadline to apply is May 1.

Gum Spring is halfway between Richmond and Charlottesville; the festival is a fundraiser for the Learning Center the Guild is building at the winery.

DIRECTIONS: The Field Day of the Past show grounds are located at the intersection of Rt. 623 (Ashland Rd.) and Rt. 622 in Goochland County, off I-64, Exit #173 (Rockville-Manakin) south. Grounds are located 1/8 mile from the interstate. Follow the signs. From the south take I-95 N to I-64 west and take Exit #173. From the north take I-95 S to I-295. Merge onto I-64W to Exit #173. From the west, take I-81 to I-64 E and take Exit #173. From those south of the James River, take Rt. 288 N to Broad Street Road West exit (Rt. 250) and go approximately one mile to stoplight at Rt. 623 (Ashland Rd.). Turn right and follow signs

Please bring your eye & ear protection. You will be forging.   Don’t forget something for Iron in the Hat, money for IITH tickets   & something to share for lunch.

From Mineral & Spotsylvania: 522S. Apprx. 3 miles before Gum Spring, you will see our winery tour signs. RT on New Line Rd(619). Follow signs to the winery. If you miss the first turn, continue on to the intersection of 522 and RT 250/Broad street. Turn right on RT 250/Broad street. Go 1/4 mile - follow winery tour signs.

*Winery Tour Signs: When you are within 5 miles of Grayhaven, you will see small roadside directional signs leading to the winery. The signs have a large Grape Cluster and an arrow telling you which way to turn.
