When twisting something, say quarter or dime Mokume, should I use a flux to encourage the new surfaces to weld without lamination? I say this because my first piece of Mokume delaminated while trying to twist the first time. I'm not sure if it was improper heating, oxidation, improper cleaning of the raw stock or a mixture of those.
