    I found it and it looks it pretty good condition. Amateur here though you think its a good buy at that price? I cant tell what maker it is.

    Pretty much ask around and let people know your looking for one then eh? Thats on going somewhat. I keep getting referred to POS cast iron ones or the vise/anvil all in ones.

    I just started getting into blacksmithing and while I could get a makeshift anvil by welding some forklift tines or a sledgehammer in a bucket I would prefer getting the real thing. I'm in Passaic County NJ and searching for the past 2 weeks turned up nothing decent nearby. Looking for something up to around 250 dollars. At least 75lbs preferably heavier. Craigslist and Ebay both turned up nothing reasonable as of yet. I have sent an email to someone I met at a blacksmithing class who may have one or know of someone who does but until he gets back to me I was wondering if anyone here had some hints of any nearby. Thanks Jason
