Here are some pictures of a scroll bender I made. At first it was just a scroll welded to a plate and the plate welded to an angle and set in the vice. I had about 240 plus scrolls to make and it seemed like it was taking forever so I bolted a 3/4" flange bearing to the plate and welded 3/4" round stock to the angle and set it in the vice. I put a trailer jack crank handle on the top. I'm only bending 1/4 x 1/2 flat bar and it works great. Before I knew it I was done. The last picture is one of the end results of the scroll bending.

I currently work for the town of Elkton in Maryland. I do all the welding and fabricating on the dump trucks and backhoes and whatever else comes along. They had an old gate in Marina Park (a piece of 2x2 sq tubing)that the hinge rusted off of and they wanted me to fix it. I told them they needed a new gate and they said make one.The two pictures with the weird flowers are posts to hold the gate open.

Here is a picture of the anvil I made. The face was made from a wear pad off of a snow plow it measures about 5.50" x 9" x 2" thick. The horn was made from a pin off of a bucket loader its 3"dia x about 6" and the stand is made from a piece of 5" sq tube with about an 18" ductile iron fire hydrant riser bolted to it. It might weigh 100 lbs or so and is pretty easy to move when its in the way. I like it and it does what I need it to so far.
