What lathe are you using? I have an 16 inch swing G0632 Grizzly I bought. It is a wood lathe but has decent mass and a strong motor. I have not tried steel on it yet. I have spun some aluminium as practice. What gauge steel are you spinning? Also did you make or buy your spinning tools?
I have watched all of Terry Tynan's stuff. I would love to have a spinners lathe.
