2 peice of broken leafspring picked up along 70 this morning headed to the farrier supplyhouse. 3x3x6 peice of s7 from a buddy at the machine shop that is destin to become a new cross pein and 4 twisted bmw half shafts from a fellow E30 nut that will become prichels and a headstamp for punching nailholes in horseshoes.

77 lb'er for my shoeing rig. ive got a peddinghaus in the shop that i turn handmade shoes on on a daily basis. i prefer this pattern over the london pattern or american farriers anvils. so i went looking for a german pattern for the shoeing rig and old world anvils was what i found.

the pattern. and the price.

i use a 1/4hp 1800rpm baldor buffer and 2 wheels to polish and sharpen my hoof knives. with the slower speed there is less risk of ruining the temper.

anyone know anything about these kanca anvils from oldworld iron?
