    Here is a pic of my cable damascus and band saw blade knife,still need to work on polishing.Blade is 9" oal and blade is 5" long.where is good place to get leather for sheath.
  2. I have just started forging also and the Don Fogg forge works really well for me you can find him at Don Fogg Custom Knives
  3. I recieved a band saw blade made out of D6A material would this be good for damascus knives it is 1 inch wide and .045 thick?
  4. Here are some pics of my forge copied after d. fogg style and treadle hammer after bob warner, along with my modifications. The hammer head weights about 75lbs, now just need to make some dies.

  6. I have chance to get saw band saw blades from a band saw mill. The material is D6a metal. Would this be good for knives?

    Hi i am Walker. I just started forging, and i've built a don fogg type of forge and have built a treadle hammer based on a bob warner design along with my own modifications. I am forging and welding cable damascus, just started with pretty good luck but no finished knives yet. Glad to be part of this group.Walker:)
