  1. I'm outside Anawa, Wi, South of Antigo about 12mi.
  2. I am relatively new to this site, but have been lurking for quite a spell. This is my first post. I have a set of Treadle Hammer Plans written by Paul Marx and Gary Gade and published by ABANA. I don't know how long I have had them, several years I think, it was something that I wanted to build, but never got around to it. I am rethinking it now. What I would like to know is has anyone here built one and if so, how did it work out? Any other comments, like what, if any, improvements could be made in it, what is the heavyest material that can be used, etc; etc. Anything that would help me make a decision as to whether to go with this kind of hammer or not. I doubt that I will ever build a power hammer, or will ever be able to afford to buy one. Thanks for your help. Pinecone in snowy Wisconsin
  3. Hi all: I am a newby to this forum, but not to blacksmithing. Started w/charcoal about 20+ years ago. Found this site before, but just didn't join. Haven't had a fire for about 4 years!!!! Want to get started again and this forum may give me the incentive. See ya again. Pine Cone
