Here is my chainsaw chain Damascus hunter. Overall it's 8 5/8ths inches. The blade is 4 5/8ths inches. Brass guard and pommel with an oil finished walnut handle.

Awesome knife. working on a piece of chain damascus myself. I cant wait to see how mine turns out. just a suggestion try leaving the blade in etching solution over night. the take out and wash with alcohol, then just buff, usually resulting in little deeper etch.
