Minature branding iron

This is a minature branding iron (JL) for a walking stick/cane maker, at Lincoln Log Cabin Historic Site. I made the brand from 1/2" steel banding, and heated it with a torch. The J and L are made in one continuous piece, heated and bent to shape. I tack welded the bottom of the letters to hold them together without a space between.
