just bought a blower at a flea market,its red and has the name Simplex and made in McQueeny,Tx.Does anyone know anything about them ?

Well, not sure this will help, and i see it's been a while since you wrote. We just bought one also and it turned fine except would hang up at one spot. We unbolted the two halves of the case and found a few teeth on meshing gears had broken off and the pieces were wedged between the opposing gear, thus causing it to bind up. We cleaned the broken pieces out and it now turns freely. Now were cleaning up the inside before we bolt it all back together. Appears it will work fine. We will need to add clean gear grease, not sure how much it is supposed to hold, or the particular weight however. anyone have any ideas on this?
