  1. Thank you, Larry! I appreciate it. I am currently on Cape Cod MA dealing with a large storm so I have plenty of time to read.
  2. Hello , mY name is Dustyn, i am somewhat new but not totally new to this. I have made a smaller furnace/forge for melting aluminum with plaster of paris and a bucket. I am working on a burner, i would like it to be FA propane, i currently have a 1 1/4 MI Pipe 12" w/ 1 1/4 tee and a 1 1/4x1 1/2 flare or reducer coupling. I tapped a 1/4 npt hole in the back of the tee, and have a brass 1/4 to 1/8 npt bushing, 1/8 close nipple, 1/8 capp with a small dremel drill bit size hole. (Just wanted to try it quick, didnt bother with the sizing) Was wondering if this looks ok? I will try to link a video. I obviously will have to do some mods and make it more of a FA style with gate valve and probably a axial blower, but to me this looked good but not sure how itd be in the forge, which i am planning on making with a propane tank 20lb, and i think, i am going to put the propane tank inside an old pennzoil can, giving me about 1 1/4 inch of space between the wall of the oil can and propane tank. (Which i cut the top off) I have Kaowool knockoff from amazon. I would llike to stuff that between the inside of the oil can and the propane tank, and i then would like to figure a way to giva another inch or so of refractory or kaowool because i like the ID of the propane tank, with a few fire bricks on the bottom. What would be the best placement for the burner? And does this flame look good? I know im asking alot of ?'s without alot of context photos. I hope you can imagine what i am asking. Any input would be greatly appreciated and will upload photos of the propane tank and oil can as well as supplies i have for the build. thank you. Dustyn L..... IMG_5571.mov
