  2. Ok, makes sense. the one with the purple handle one is 1084 and an old concrete saw blade (8670?), and the other is 1095 and 15n20. I'm forging with a propane forge. also, just got my welder set up, and those were just held together with wire.
  3. Ok, thanks. One of my friends said the same thing about the handles, and he's one of the best bladesmiths I've ever seen. These were just some for myself, so I just went with what felt best in my hand. If I was selling them I would have done them differently.

  5. Hi, I'm new to the forum here. I've been blade smithing for About eight years now, and I've just started playing around with Damascus. The first one is random 80 layers and the second one is raindrop 280 layers. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated!
