The crusted diamond dressing tools for dressing grinding stones actually work on TriZact Gator belts. Those belts tend to glaze over, so a couple seconds on the dressing tool helps unclog the belt. I tried the same tool on a ceramic belt and it made it smoother, but didn't cut any better. I try to find ceramic belts designed for grinding at lower pressures where the grain fractures easier. VSM is the brand I normally use.

Awesome! Thanks for the info!

Thanks! The bricks would be for the front of it, the back is mostly closed already. Did you find it too a lot more time to come up to temp vs a koawool/refractory lined forge? That is my only hesitation with it being an all refractory forge versus a covered koawool forge.

I am really intrigued by this forge and either looking at buying one, or making one and using their burner. Does it have the brick bracket on it to make a door with fire bricks on the newer ones? Any updates after using it for a while?
Refreshing belts is it possible?

Sorry about the link. Look up stone wheel dressers or something like that on amazon. I got 3 for $11.
