Yes loud, even ear piercing, when I tap the horn. I have not done a spark test yet to the body. And to revise a previous statement, it is a 110 lb anvil

Yes it does have a ring when tapped.

Here is a pic of the underside. And yes I know not to grind or weld. I used an 80 flapper wheel to shine the face.

Sorry about that, just updated my profile. I am in Michigan and purchased the anvil locally. 

It is a 90 pounder. 

I recently purchased this Anvil at an auction. There are no makers marks, numbers, or any visible signs other than the port marking from where it was cast. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
