Hello, I'm new here out of curiosity about an anvil I picked up. A knowledgable friend says it's a Columbian so I'm just looking for second opinions and more info. I would guess it weighs about 30 or 40 lbs. I found a few pictures of similar looking anvils but none with the "S" mark on the side opposite the triangle C mark. So I'm wondering - is it a "real" anvil (as opposed to a cast iron shape) and if so, what types of work was it meant for? It's next to a 10" wide woodworking vise in one of the pictures for size reference. Thanks
