most likely ill buy premade burners and ive heard soft firebricks work better is that correct?

right now i have an ebay forge thats square and open at both sides its lined with 1in thick wool thats been rigidized and had refractory i bought off here put on the wool and it just doesnt get as hot as id like and its a bit shorter then id like i want a 2 burner closed on 1 end ive seen the firebrick forges and for ease of assembly really wanted to make one but will it get hot enough to forge weld damascus ?

here in las vegas ive been having problems finding rigidizer for my new forge to put on the ceramic insulation will imperial brand stove and fireplace cement work or should i keep searching
