If it were thirty pounds, I’d hate to be named Herb!  A herb chopper makes sense for the size and the way it is held. I will have to get some fresh hens and give it a go. Would still like to know who made it. Thank you all for your time and comments.

I found this axe head in a shop in Texarkana Texas. Any ideas what it is or where it may have come from?
