Does anyone have recommendations?. I’m planning a flat roof above my shop ( which is yet to be built. ). I’m concerned about sparks from the chimney settling on the flat roof and causing a fire. What roof covering would members recommend in such circumstances?

5” deep was what I was planning. Thanks for the comments.....I’ll use 3/8 for the fire pot.

How thick is the firebox steel? and how thick is the steel for the hearth and hood and flue.

What thickness of mild steel would members suggest for a firebox? This is for a welded firebox, unlined and designed for a coke forge.
