Haha, I am in SE Michigan, I updated the profile.  I have never done any work with Antler before, so I'd thought I'd ask.  The cheapest I have been able to find X-Large antler is around $15 online.  

Morning Everyone,

         Does anyone know where I can get a decent price on deer antler material? A friend of mine has asked me to build him a utility knife, and wanted to have a hidden tang with deer antler handle.  The knife will be 9 inches total.  He wants  the handle to be about 5 inches in length.   I have been looking around different sites but not much luck.  Any suggestions?

Well, I am glad you guys do not mix words.  That is totally my fault for the grammar and I will fix that right away.  And I should've definitely read the site guidelines much better.  You are right Frosty, I am totally a new guy and inexperienced and I can see it shows.  That is what I needed to read and see from experienced smiths. 

Thomas, I meant to write that I use old steel and new high carbon steel when making knives.  I see now how that makes no sense at all!

Frosty as cheesy as it sounds that is my real name, believe it or not.
