Thanks Frosty!  Yea its staked in there, I haven't tried pulling it out yet though.  I've been keeping my eye out for nice stumps etc, height it good for now, miraculously, since i'm pretty tall.

New guy here, just finally got my setup going after moving to a space that would allow it!  I found my anvil last week and have been inspecting it trying to date it etc. and some of the numbers seems odd.  It has the trenton diamond on the side but the serial either has an odd digit or is spaced strangely.  With and without the 5 its either from 1899 or 1905, but it just seems odd since the space doesn't look like a missing/damaged digit.  It's got a great ring and bounces a ball bearing like it cares nothing for physics so it know its nice regardless, I'm just curious if anyone had seen anything like it.
