if you google fairbanks power hammer there is a 24 page post on a bladesmithing forum about this very thing but on a 75 pound hammer.The guy done this but never finished his post.But there is alot alot of good reading on the fairbanks hammers. I just bought a 75 pound fairbanks but have not got it home yet .maybe this weekend i will post pics when i get it home. Joe

the front one is already sold. but i was trying to buy the red looking one on the back . what do you all think it is worth.he said the babbit looks good and it is not locked up thanks joe

just found a 50 pound lg hammer with some rare changes . it has a pass through hole right behind the anvil . and no clutch there is a tension pully for the shaft drive. also it is a new little giant power hammer thanks joe

buffalo made a forge with that set up on it. a friend of mine has one still in operation in his shop in north carolina. i might can get some pics later when i get back over there . joe

the triad area blacksmith group in winston salem bought one a while back . we realy love it and once it is stuck to the stand it is realy quite and nice to work on .no ring at all .but a great anvil to work on joe

the pritchel hole was punched from the bottom side and was punched at a slight angle. the hardy hole is also crooked with a slight taper on all four sides. ps posting for hammerhead73 thanks joe
