Oh goooood comeback!
Nice rose. I have to agree the rest is . . . different. Is there a significance to that arrangement?
Frosty The Lucky.
:)
I made it for a good friend of mine. He gives his girlfriend as a gift.
My friend works very hard. So I build the stand with a hand,a arm, and a heart.

I hope you don't mind my saying that I think the rose is very well executed but the stand seems a bit awkward to me.

Have you seen the trick where you take a double headed concrete form nail and use it for the rivet? The double top goes up and you trim the nail for the rivet and do the hammering on the bottom of the piece. Then you dress the projecting top to a point to hold a candle in place.
Top to a point. Nice advice! Thank you! :)

Yesterday, one client asked for a sculpture of standing pig, about 5-6 inches long.
It's a big challenge for me. Forge solid bar? Plate?Make apart and rivet them?
Thanks for your help!

I heard Meteoric iron can be forged from a freind of mine, and he told me that when forging it should add some iron. I never see one by eye. Anyone had forged Meteoric iron? Thanks for your posts.

This is one of the items where the swageblock can be handy so you can round off the underside while flattening the top side to make a hand friendly grip
Good idiea!!

Yeah, the rivets won't swivel because I made some "lock"(using chisel marks).

It is for a man. Too big and heavy for a woman. 85 grams heavy. I think it is appropriate. :)
