Can anyone tell me how you can make the tapered threads that you commonly find on screw in hooks/eyes etc. I can't seem to find a tapered die so hows it done?

In an attempt to stop that really annoying message asking me to make a first post here goes.

I'm from UK, been blacksmithing part time for 10 years, though it seems like forever! I prefer tool making for other crafts people and machinery fabrication, I do have a tendency to think "more steel = better machine" which is probably a common trait amongst those of us who hit hot things with hammers. I do a bit of casting with a cupola, especially at night cos I love the exhaust flames. Oh an I'm a bit partial to cannon (every home should have one!). Usual small boy in adult body that come under heading blacksmith really.
