  1. Hello All,
I have not run the older utility hammers..only the self contained.

Is there a chart that shows air CFM and PSI?
Those of you who own or have operated the hammers..do you have a preference as to brand and why.

I am thinking of the Niles-Bement and Chambersburg (Grant's Bell seems like something too rare to find another).

    Hello Ric,
I've just recently bought a 750ld Chambersburg(utility)hammer if your interested,I'm looking for a smaller hammer(300lb).I just live right down the road from Larry Harley if your interested.

    Thanks,
    Jamie Tyree
  2. Hello Everyone,
My name is James Tyree. I am a blacksmith of 22 year. My studies are 2 years of tech. school (mach. shop), 6 months under Elmer Roush, 2 years under Russell O'dell, and 1 week with Peter Ross. Wife and I run Cedar Branch Forge (in east tenn.), which just burnt to the ground losing everything. The new shop is up and limping along for now. I am a hinge maker spec. in Am. Colonial period work, 99% goes into historic homes/museums all over this country(U.S.A.).
I hope this is a proper intro. Thanks, tyree
