I've really liked and lurnt things doing these knives. I usaly forge a blade and I adapt the handle to the blade. Here it was different and a good exercise for me to make the blade from the handle.
The wood guard is olive-tree.

These are my last realisations,with one shamoy horn from a friend hunting in Savoie.
the small one is XC75 stock removal and mounted with epoxy glue.
the big one is forged in a piece of helyco

Forged from an old file and the handle is made with a wood called "buis" in french (same wood as Nontron knives)
Oil quenching and tempered at 200

Hello to the community,

My name is Dav (33 years old) and I live in the east south of France. I like shouting with black powder, hunting boar in "the Cevennes" and forging knives.(coal forge)
My knives are forged from old files, car's helico
