Paulo Perci Fonseca da Rocha,on your web page, the tutorial about making the sheath, i am not clear on a few things,is the drill press used for all the holes? What size and type of bit? Also is the red label used to stain and soften the leather? My portuguese is weak.

flat grind with convex edge
steel - 52100 (forged from 1 inch round bar)
edge quench, triple temper and FC finish
handle - Pau-Ferro (linseed oil finish)
spacer - leather and jarina (vegetal ivory)

My friend, I am happy that you liked my knives. Which styles of blades you do not know? I believe that it is the knife gaucho, who is based on the forged Mediterranean dagger in the integral form. I am using a translator, pardons me for any error in the text.

Hi friend, the red one is pau-brasil and the other is sucupira negra. Both are brazilian hardwoods.
The origin of the name of our country is that wood, pau-brasil. In the time of discovery of Brazil (year 1500), the pau-brasil are used for ink fabrication.
