There doesn't seem to be a Letter opener or Railroad spike page as far as i can see so I posted this RR spike letter opener here; this is the second thing I have made with through blacksmithing, I heard that railroad spike steel wasn't suitable for knives, so I made a letter opener instead

    thank you, if your wondering on how to create that sort of twist in the handle the handle edges were beveled creating 8 sides, this gives the apearence of more twists, this handle was twisted once I beleive

    Did you do much grinding/filing to get the blade's final shape... or mostly done with hammer?
