  2. Hey I bought the tank at Home hardware 5 gal. portable air tank there are 2" of ceramic blanket and the floor is 1" thick firebrick then I coated everything with two coats of ITC.-100 .   3. I just finished building a 5 gal. air tank forge it has an interior area of 358 cubic inches with one 3/4" burner and had some time to run the forge and check out some temperatures. It took 3.25 minutes at 2 psi ball valve 1/2 way open to reach 1550 F and the same 2psi ball valve all the way open 7 minutes 2000 F This forge build far exceeded all my expectation

Hi everyone I've been collecting Knives for a while and decided to start making my own knives at this point I'm putting together some tools and equipment and also reading and talking to as many knife smiths as i can to gather as much information I can on tools ,equipment and there techniques. My background and day job is Motorcycle Mechanic and Custom Bike Builder I have done a fare amount of welding and metal fabricating I'm very comfortable around hot metal and most tools big or small.
