Thanks for all the help! Glad to hear that I didn't make a poor choice.

I'm new to blacksmithing but decided I wanted to jump right in. I've tried it a few times at a boyscout camp when I was younger and always wanted to do more of it. I ended up buying an anvil off of craigslist for 75$. It is 100#, but I don't know who makes it. One side has the 100, the other side has 45Kg with England written underneath it. I also don't know what the little marks on the top are. Maybe where someone set a welder down on it? Any help would be appreciated.
