Scout_77
Hello, Wanted to stop in and say high, I'm Chuck Cook. I'm a full time Feild Service Engineer and a part time knife make. I have been making knives as an adult since 2005. Yes 1977 is the year I was born, and Scout is the mountain man name I was given. My mom loves to tell the story about me using the family BBQ as a forge and me buring the bottom out of it. I had a small piece of rail road track (about 20 lbs) for an anvil. Stopped when I went of to make my way in the world, and started back up when my Dad asked me to make him a knife.
Frosty
Welcome aboard Chuck, glad to have ya. That kind of reminds me of the day Mother finally told Father to build me a forge and find me something to use as an anvil. She didn't care but if he wanted another hot meal he would get me OUT OF HER KITCHEN! I was heating stuff on the range burner and using whatever was hard as an anvil on her counter. She was not pleased. Oh. . . The memories. Frosty
