JHCC
The following text and images are from an Instagram post by Dereck Glaser of the New England School of Metalwork (NB: the first four images are screen grabs of a video that I haven't figured out how to post here): Quote Here’s a cool tip that just occurred. Smith’s are often faced with creating scrolls, although basic, if the scroll, in this case is on an 8’ piece of stock, swinging the stock around the form can be a real challenge, even in a big shop. I’ve always made scrolls in a horizontal plane, running out of room to swing a long bar…… so how about doing it vertical??? YES!!! So I adapted my scroll form to rotate, leaving gravity to manage the stock and allowing nearly a full rotation of this 19” scroll length in one heat. Enjoy!! Dereck's original post can be found HERE. Frosty
Pretty slick scroll jig, thanks for posting John. The link worked after Instagram insisted I join first. Then it played. Frosty The Lucky.
